Coding is a process of transforming computer instructions into a form a machine can understand. It is easy to learn for adults because it is a logical and concise way of communication. Many people find it difficult to read or write code, but with practice it can become second nature.
The most important thing to remember when learning to code is that computers are extremely literal. They do exactly what they are told, and nothing more. This can be both good and bad – if you tell the computer to do something incorrectly, it will dutifully do so! However, once you get the hang of things, this predictability can be quite helpful.
There are dozens of different programming languages out there, but don’t let that intimidate you – most concepts are fairly universal. And once you’ve learned one language, others will be much easier to pick up.
